Securing modern art and room installations
Art and room installations are often found in modern art. A precise classification is difficult. However, they have in common that they usually do not use limiting elements such as pedestals, barriers and the corresponding equipment. This demands more from the safety technology and its largely invisible installation. It is therefore difficult to make a general recommendation. In most cases, a combination of different alarm modules is recommended.
In principle, however, the following can be said: the most effective is the use of laser scanners. They build up an invisible curtain around the exhibit. But the use of a powerful structure-borne sound sensor - such as the HDF-3D PROTECT - is also recommended. It detects vibrations that occur when the object is lifted, for example. Art or room installations made of conductive materials can be easily monitored with the capacitive alarm sensor HDF-TOUCH.
