Securing historical buildings and their furniture
More and more noble houses, castles and palaces are opened for public viewing. The presentation of historical furniture is therefore not limited to museums. The furniture present in historical buildings must be protected against unwanted use and vandalism. Here it is important to achieve a fast intelligent alarm system. Due to the complex and often large buildings, it is difficult to deploy sufficient security personnel.
Basically, two different strategies are followed.
Securing larger areas with mechanical barriers in combination with laser scanners
The securing of individual exhibits of particular value. The HDF-TOUCH
capacitive alarm sensor is used here when securing objects made of metal. Cabinets, shelves and buffets can be protected with the HDF-3D PORTECT
structure-borne sound sensor. The HDF-WIRE
alarm module secures smaller furniture with its breakaway wires. The HDF-DOOR
door sensor detects when cabinets and doors are opened.
Comprehensive protection of locks and castles is in most cases a combination of both barriers and mechanical protection measures as well as modern alarm technology.
